"I’m told I began grinding my teeth around the time they began to arrive. Sadly, it was a habit I never got to shake and as a result I have spent most of my life smiling without showing my teeth, with my hand over my mouth, or turning my head when I noticed people looking at my mouth. However, I now have a reason to show off my smile. Richard recommended I rebuild the teeth with bonded composite veneers. He explained the process in detail, let me make up my mind in my own time and when I decided to go ahead with the procedure, he and his amazing team did everything to make me feel informed and comfortable while I was in the chair. It went exactly as he had described, and his lovely sense of humour made the treatment time fly by. It was absolutely painless and uneventful and I highly recommend Richard and this procedure."

Oh, and one more thing: Mystery solved! The chip that I thought came off the back of my tooth - is not a piece of tooth at all - it is a tiny piece of white plastic that came off an unobtrusive corner of my splint! I matched up the piece to the splint when I got home. Ai-carumba!

"Many years ago I hated the thought of going to a dentist, really wound up and so nervous. Then we transferred to Wellington and my first visit to Richard is memorable, his light touch in my mouth, instead of misery. From then on our appointments have been regular and enjoyable. Whatever our needs for dentistry, he attends to them with exceptional care. He is the most meticulous dentist anyone could ever have. Richard uses the most up to date equipment, and explains its function as he goes. A perfectionist, his care of old or not so old teeth is quite amazing. His chair side assistants are excellent and receptionists always helpful.Well retired now we travel 80 kms for Richard’s continuing care of our teeth. 

Who would really go to another dentist when we already have the best?"

"It is wonderful to have a full set of teeth again thank you Richard. I was very impressed that you were able to achieve this so efficiently with your advanced skills! I enjoyed a visit to Te Papa on my way home yesterday in spite of slight numbness on one side. The anaesthetic wore off mid afternoon and there was minimal pain which responded to gargling half a soluble aspirin. I felt no other after effects and had plenty of energy for a stint in the garden."
